Last week I scoped out this 8 mile run from Shell Beach to Heart's Desire, which can include, for the intrepid runner, a swim in Tomales Bay. This trail is within the boundaries of Point Reyes National Seashore.
This is where the swimming happens, which is at mile 1, or mile 7, depending on when you indulge. I did it on the way back, mile 7. Nice little diversion...

And
this is where you stop to buy food on the way home! I've passed this farm stand a half dozen times since I moved here. It's just past the turn-off for Nicasio valley on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Rd. Needless to say, this is where the food for tonight's dinner came from.
